  • How to get help

    What support can and cannot do for an on-device app.

    HomeBrain keeps your home record only on your phone, so we cannot see your data, look anything up or restore it for you. We can help with how the app works: email support@ruzibagroup.com. Please don't send us photos, serial numbers, backup files or passwords.

  • Opening HomeBrain: your phone's screen lock

    HomeBrain uses your phone's own screen lock.

    HomeBrain opens only after your phone confirms it is you (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, or your phone's passcode, PIN or pattern). It asks when HomeBrain starts and after more than 30 seconds in the background. HomeBrain has no PIN of its own and no switch to turn the lock off; Settings shows an informational Device lock row.

    If your phone has no screen lock at all, HomeBrain still opens, so you are never locked out of your own records. It shows one short notice asking you to set a screen lock, and Settings then shows the device lock as Unavailable.

    The lock relies on your phone's own security: it helps keep others out of your records but cannot guarantee that no one else can ever open them. HomeBrain cannot reset or bypass your phone's screen lock. If you lose access to it, recover it through your phone maker's own process.

  • Accounts

    HomeBrain has no accounts.

    HomeBrain has no accounts. There is no sign-up, sign-in, user ID or server, and we hold no copy of anyone's data.

  • Free plan, HomeBrain Pro and ads

    What the Free plan and HomeBrain Pro include.
    • Free: one home with up to 7 items. On Android, a banner ad, labelled "Advertisement", from Google AdMob may appear at the end of the Home and Rooms screens; the current iPhone version shows no ads. Whether an ad appears depends on your consent choice, your region and the ads Google has available, so sometimes no ad is shown. Restoring a backup is free.
    • HomeBrain Pro (monthly or yearly, auto-renewing): no ads on Android, up to 3 homes, unlimited items, the PDF full-home report and creating encrypted backups.
    • Ads (Android) are non-personalized and never receive your home record. Where your region requires it, Google's consent form appears first. Where offered, Settings → Help & Support → Ad privacy choices lets you change your choice.
  • Backups and moving to a new phone

    Encrypted backups, restoring and your backup password.

    Your data exists only on your phone and in backup or PDF files you create. Creating an encrypted backup is a HomeBrain Pro feature: Settings → Backup & Restore → Back up → Create backup → Share backup. Save the file somewhere you control. Restoring a backup is free on every plan.

    A backup is protected by the password you choose (at least 10 characters). If you forget it, that backup cannot be opened by anyone, including us.

  • How to delete your data

    The in-app Delete all data steps.

    The same steps are in the app at Settings → Help & Support → How to delete your data.

    1. Open HomeBrain and confirm it is you with your phone's own screen lock when the system asks (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, or your phone's passcode, PIN or pattern).
    2. Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar.
    3. In Settings, tap Data Management, then tap Delete all data.
    4. HomeBrain asks the operating system to confirm it is you again before deleting. HomeBrain has no PIN of its own. The system prompt reads "Confirm it's you before deleting all data." If your phone has no screen lock, this step is skipped.
    5. A dialog titled Delete all data lists exactly what will be erased and what is kept. Tap Delete all data to go ahead, or Cancel.
    6. Keep HomeBrain open while it runs. When every part was erased, HomeBrain shows Your data was deleted and restarts at the language screen and home setup, as on a fresh install.
    7. If HomeBrain shows Not everything was deleted, it lists what is still on the phone. Tap OK, open Settings and choose Delete all data again.

    This permanently deletes from this device:

    • every home, room, category and item (including ones you deleted earlier);
    • item photos and documents;
    • repair history, reminders and every scheduled reminder notification;
    • PDF exports, backup files and temporary files HomeBrain made for sharing;
    • your settings and your language choice;
    • the small Pro plan file;
    • the keys that encrypt your data.

    This cannot be undone. On Android, Google's consent software may keep your ad consent choice on the device; where Google offers it, change it in Settings → Help & Support → Ad privacy choices.

    Not removed: copies you saved or shared outside HomeBrain, for example a backup or PDF you sent to Files, a cloud drive, email or another app. Those files are yours; delete them where you saved them.

  • Deleting a single photo, item, room or home

    Deleting one photo, item, room, home or reminder.
    • A photo or document: open the item, tap the remove control on the file, then confirm Remove this file? The file is deleted at once.
    • An item: open the item and tap Delete item, then confirm Delete this item? This permanently deletes the item from this device, with its photos, documents, repair history and reminders.
    • A room, category, repair entry or reminder: deleting it hides it in the app; its content stays in the encrypted database until Delete all data. A room can only be deleted when it has no items (or after Move items and delete).
    • A home: in Settings → Homes, tap the delete control next to the home and confirm Delete home, then confirm it is you with your phone's screen lock. This permanently deletes that home and its rooms, items, photos, documents, warranties, repairs and reminders. Your other homes are not affected.
  • What deletion does not remove

    Copies outside the app, older iPhone backups, uninstalling.
    • Nothing on a server. There is no server and no copy held by us.
    • Files you shared or saved elsewhere: backups and PDFs sent through the share sheet (cloud drives, email, messages, another device). Delete them where you put them. PDFs are not encrypted.
    • iPhone device backups made by an older version of HomeBrain may still contain its encrypted data and any PDF export. Manage those backups in your phone's settings.
    • Your subscription. Delete all data erases the small Pro plan file (status, plan, expiry, last check; no personal data) like everything else, but your subscription is not affected. Restore purchases brings Pro back.

    Uninstalling removes HomeBrain's private storage. On iPhone, the system keeps Keychain items after an uninstall; if you install HomeBrain again, it erases them at its first start (if that step fails, it tries again at the next start). On Android, Settings → Apps → HomeBrain → Storage → Clear storage also removes the app's data (menu names can differ slightly by device maker).

  • HomeBrain Pro subscription

    Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription.

    Delete all data does not cancel a HomeBrain Pro subscription. Cancel or change it in your App Store or Google Play account. Refunds are decided by Apple or Google, and HomeBrain cannot see or change your billing. HomeBrain checks with the store when it starts and when you return to it, so a renewal, cancellation, refund or expiry is reflected. Use Restore purchases after reinstalling or on a new device.
